Plans for a new multipurpose Indy Eleven stadium in the Eleven Park neighborhood, which will be home to the Indy Eleven of the United Soccer League Championship, were unveiled by the Keystone Group. The stadium, which will be the new home of Indy Eleven, will have a seating capacity of around 20,000 and will be located at the heart of a development that will bring new residences, workplaces, stores, eateries, parking facilities, a hotel, and public plazas with green space to the southwest corner of downtown Indianapolis.

“A world-class stadium is planned as an authentic gathering place, an expression of the local culture, and an engine for economic development in its surrounding area. We want to accomplish this with the new Indy Eleven stadium”.

“The stadium will be the centerpiece of Eleven Park, giving Indy Eleven a place to play and giving Indianapolis soccer fans access to a brand-new, custom-made experience at a stadium built with cutting-edge technology and high aspirations of a world-class soccer stadium.” Noted Phil Kolbo, principal at global design firm Populous.

Indy Eleven Stadium’s design:

The stadium, designed by Populous with Browning Day as the architect of record, is set to open in 2025 and focuses on enhancing the fan experience and connecting with the surrounding area. A sloping, secure zone near the Indy Eleven stadium’s north end will accommodate 2,400 fans.

The stadium’s west side will have various high-end options, such as the field club seating at pitch level near the team benches and the mid-line club, including suites, party suites, and a terrace club. A taproom on the south end creates a club-like environment for 700 spectators on game days. At the same time, the adjacent terrace is perfect for hosting community events and other activities on other days.

Most of the seats on the east side of the stadium will be along the sidelines, and the stadium’s walkway and concessions/restrooms ratio will be among the finest in the league. The stadium’s exterior will be clad in a customizable color-changing façade that embodies the innovative spirit of the design.

“This groundbreaking project is evolving into a work-and-play community. As Ersal Ozdemir, Chairman and Founder of Keystone Group & Indy Eleven, put it, “Indy Eleven stadium will transform the Indianapolis skyline while also adding over a thousand jobs, having a significant economic benefit, generating quality of life advantages, and luring talent and opportunities to our city and state.”

“We’ve put money into the downtown area for over twenty years because we think it’s more crucial than ever. In elevating Indianapolis’ global reputation and showcasing the world’s most popular sport, we hope to carry on Indianapolis’ heritage of using sports as a business driver for Indiana at Eleven Park.”
