Son Blanc Hotel’s Design Concept

The metamorphosis of this location commenced with the revival of the Finca, the farmhouse that lay in near ruins. Great care was taken to preserve its original structure, showcasing its remarkable features, including arches and vaults. These expansive spaces seamlessly blend with the natural surroundings, providing an ideal canvas for architectural creativity.

The very essence of Menorca served as a muse for the Son Blanc Hotel. The interiors echo the island’s natural elements, with materials left in their raw, unadorned state and sculpted into organic shapes that harmonize with the environment. Indigenous materials like tidewater stone, wild olive wood, and clay are prominently featured in each of the fourteen rooms at Son Blanc.

The Son Blanc Hotel’s identity unfurls in the Boyera, encompassing the reception, restaurant, and sports room, where beams intertwine to form a captivating graphic framework. Curved interior partitions define distinct areas, their earthy texture akin to a sculptural screen that disrupts the spatial geometry and discreetly houses technical components, restricting the diverse functions of the building.
