Changsha Eco City

So much has been done that has depreciated the world. Following the laws that govern the earth, there is a just reward for the seeds we sow.

Through the years, the consequences of the bad seeds we have sown have hit hard us real hard. The effects of these hard blows are all around us – global warming, etc.

To checkmate these evil, ASSYMPTOTE has designed The Changsha Eco City.

The master plan unveils a new urban center to be characterized with clean, open and residential spaces. Inspired by the beauty of the heavens – sky, earth and water – this new city mixes residential, working, and recreation with nature in a bid to achieve the highest level of sustainability.

The lush, green and car free environment is to feature:

– A car-free environment that would depend on a water-based transportation (thereby harnessing the existing water features on the site) and pedestrian transportation. However, they will still leave the proposed vehicular accesses so that the area will be accessible by emergency operatives and “other permitted vehicles” if the need arises.

Digital living to featuring a subterranean robotics goods and services network to deliver services throughout the site.

New technologies like light censors with residential body scanners to monitor health levels of occupants, “an automated robot-serviced in-house purchasing systems that reduces waste, and waste management that links to the underground servicing network”, etc.

Crystal City Resort, which is reported to be “the crowning jewel of the Changsha Eco Tech Master Plan.” Drawing inspiration from the spectacular geological condition of the site, the project is an aggregation of crystalline forms that house a variety of exciting recreational and resort programs. Crystal City delicately traverses a spectacular natural quarry, taking advantage of the site’s beautiful natural setting while leaving it virtually untouched. It is surrounded by lush gardens with numerous bridges connecting the Crystal City to the quarry’s edge, the nearby themed Constellation Hotel, and points of access by car and other forms of transportation. By virtue of its unique and iconic architecture, Crystal City is poised to be a world-class attraction and a destination that will draw visitors not only from the Changsha region, but internationally.”
