Skeletal Luxury Apartment Complex

Zaha Hadid Architects has revealed the design of their first project in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Casa Atlantica luxury apartment complex project is situated in Rio de Janeiro facing the south east side of the Copacabana beach. This residential tower will rise up to about42 m consisting of eleven floors, thirty apartments and a swimming pool constructed on the roof.

The luxurious apartment complex will accommodate a spa and a cinema. The project will be distinctive but comply with the building regulations and fit satisfactorily in the neighboring surroundings. The main façade of the building looks like stacked symmetrical vertebras connected by columns. Since Zaha Hadid Architects design has taken care of the interior as well as the exterior of the building, the future residents of the building will enjoy the six star services and the breath taking view from the verandas towards the beach. The furniture and overall spaces carry the signature of Zaha Hadid Architects.

Transforming a residential project into an iconic structure the architecture studio states that the “design continues the liberating formal composition and spatial flow inherent within Brazil’s rich Modernist tradition and engages with the unique tempo and vitality of Copacabana’s urban beach culture, as well as the fluidity of its renowned Burle Marx promenade.” Construction of this impressive design is expected to commence in early 2015.
