The Immaterial Gateway | Rafael de La-Hoz

The Immaterial Gateway, the Spanish architects divulge the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA), which is considered to be a 60 m high ‘’pylon’’ landmark located right at the heart of the Bohai Economic Rim, in Tianjin Binhai New Area.

It possesses implicitly sustainable & incessant comfortable living conditions for the particular location. Being the initial National bases for China’s progressive ‘industriel’ & commercial reformation, the masterpiece focused mainly on embodying the high concern of TEDA’s 30 years of presence, as a fortunate & harmonious podium of China’s new economic mechanism.

The mirror which arises at the very top is created in a way to ‘echo’ a glimmer of light specifically visible on December 6th to memorialize the birth of TEDA. During the night, 2 bodies, elements and realism, conduce to create the entire figure.

The emergent design known as the “Cut between heaven and earth” is lead by an attempt to evaluate the technique of contemplation and réinterprétation of the current site. The new location empowers a more equitable “colloquy” with the existing fabric.
