Ultra-Compact Car Share | Vincent Chan

Ultra-Compact Car Share, modular design is all the rage these days, and it has found its way to cars. In a smart attempt to minimize the human footprint, ecologically and physically, these concept cars allow a person to drive in a small compartment taking up only the space they would need while allowing for transformation when needed.

This compartment can attach to extensions such as more passenger space or more cargo space, depending on the situation. One would hope that if this ever goes into production they would make those compartments a bit bigger, while retaining the integrity of the concept. It is worth making a note of the wheel situation. There are only two.

Assuming the units are to be somewhat autonomous, not necessarily needing to be attached- it sets a very interesting precedent for research into gyroscopic technology which could be implemented in automobile design. Some sort of Segway-esque car, if it worked- why not?
