Wood-spot Alessandro Zambelli

Alessandro Zambelli has created a series he calls “ Wood-spot ” which is a synthesis of materials, light and shade. The new work by the designer is a table lamp is assembled and varnished entirely by hand. Joined to the shaped support are a base and a light diffuser, both in pine with a natural finish. The three colors he used for the diffuser are ivory white, flesh pink and pastel green. The base of the project is like a photo frame where it sits at an angle. The profile of the object is highly unusual because it stands out. This is an iconic shape that forces itself on space. It might seem as a figment of the imagination but it is completely anchored in a substance reality. Wood-spot concurrently surprises , fascinates and enchants because it hides something puzzling within itself. This farsighted synthesis of material, light, and shade blurs the limits of everything.
