Moose Bar Light Scheme | Cinimod Studio

When the exclusive Moose Bar, located on London’s Duke Street, underwent an interior refurbishment, Cinimod Studio were commissioned to create the club’s unique, new lighting scheme. Highly integrated throughout, the design employs various techniques, of light that not only reveals but creates atmosphere.

Full colour LED line the ceiling of the club’s basement, creating swirls of light that pulsate to the music. These continuous strips create wells of light which provide a further rhythm to the space. The ceiling lights run perpendicular to slivers of coloured light that peak from behind timber slatted walls. This motif of semi-concealed lighting is translated into pure white edge lights in the upstairs bar which illuminate striking panorama prints upon the walls.

Over the main bar, copper mirror ball pendants hang, providing a warm glow to the interior. Tying the scheme together is an integrated sound-to-light control system. The atmosphere of the club, in a feedback loop of sorts, is translated into the lighting of the club throughout the day- gently shifting colours and moods through the day and a more dynamic, lively content by night.
