BELLAVISTA del Jardín del Norte | EL EQUIPO CREATIVO

Designed by EL EQUIPO CREATIVO, The entrance of Bellavista del Jardín del Norte greets you with thousands of hanging flowers reminiscent of flower feasts. Immediately you are transported to your family´s village or that quaint town you once passed through while traveling.

Our client asked us to create a restaurant interior design where guests could enjoy a re-interpretation of classic tapas in a relaxed and fun environment and where they would feel at home.

Based on the premise of ´your home away from home´ the design translates the idea of daily life and festive spirit of villages in Spain and all around the world. Bellavista del Jardín del Norte, meaning ´Beautiful View of the Garden in the North´, with references to the large garden in the back. This is a surprising oasis in the center of Barcelona and inspired the name of the restaurant as if it was the name of a small town.

The entrance greets you with thousands of hanging flowers reminiscent of flower feasts. Immediately you are transported to your family´s village or that quaint town you once passed through while traveling.
Different elements in the form of metal kiosks guide you through space until you reach the large garden located at the end. These elements are an abstraction of the festive elements in village towns. We begin the journey through the village at the ´florist´, continue onto the main street and end at the plaza (main square) which becomes the icing on the cake as it hosts an open space underneath a sky of fireworks.

In the plaza, the grand finale is the explosion of ´fireworks´. These light structures were created in collaboration with BMLD Lighting Design and are composed of iron structures and LED lights, mimicking an abstract form of fireworks.
From the second floor, the private dining areas are converted to balconies looking onto the plaza through the beaded curtains of their windows.

On the other side, the event rooms receive the light from the street sifted through the flower stalks of the entrance. Its wallpaper-lined walls reproduce the floral spirit of the exterior while ensuring acoustic comfort.
The final result of the design creates a sensation of a familiar setting for many Spanish people: going back home for the yearly village feast and enjoying homemade food. Only this time it is in the middle of the city.
