Light ,This energetic instillation by Studio Roso is titled Light. It is installed at and has become an integral part of the Clarks Shoes Headquarters. This integration is created though a give and take between installation and the courtyard in which it is installed, which was painted white and resurfaced with fresh black asphalt- creating the ideal ‘canvas’ for the reflections and shadows created by the two ‘light beams’ which enter and pierce the space.
Made of thousands of reflective discs, the two beams corporealize the effect of a sunbeam through clouds or a light through a dusty room, and identify what was once invisible energy coursing through a space. A pixillation occurs. Space is disrupted by the incursion of this unseen initial event. Reflection or shadow- how the sun impacts, determines.
