This was a special focus on Quattro all-wheel drive technology from Audi, defined & integrated them on an inter-active way to a sustainable “Quattro experience” for visitors in the establishment of the Alm. Furthermore, part of the Festkogl Alm was rahbilitated directly before the start of peak season. Due to extreme weather conditions, high logistical challenges were added during the current smelting operations. The staging of the architectural metamorphosis starts with a pulse that unfolds from the Audi rings on the parapet as a geometric shape and expands on the terrace until it reaches its peak.

The portion of the host space, which lies behind the aluminium facade, together with its faceted interior walls of a maximum contrast to the existing interior of the hut, balance the small piece of wood surfaces with the large geometric aluminium. The decoration of the heating stove is inspired by parts of traditional mountain hut interiors, but incoporates them with elements influenced from the history of the Quattro. Instead of a traditional stag’s head, the stove features a 3D sintered model of a gecko which represents an emblem of the Quattro advanced technology.
