Dr. González Clinic | Estudio EMEalCUBO

Designed by Estudio EMEalCUBO, The project is inspired by the techniques of laser skin regeneration and tattoo removal that are made in the clinic. Impurities are redrawn with laser, creating a kind of light tattoo.

This idea of the light tattoo is the core concept of this project – arteries of light are traced through the floor, walls and ceiling, representing the idea of regeneration, while at the same time they illuminate all the rooms, creating a unique and identifiable image of the business. Glass dividers half the height of the walls partition the interior space, while allowing a complete view of the path of the lines of light from any point of the clinic.

The canvas on which the tattoo of light on ceiling and walls is drawn is whitened oak wood, bringing warmth, elegance and sobriety to the space. The floor is a surface without joints of white microcement, that runs through all rooms without interruptions.

The lines of light that reach the entrance hall climb and cross the reception desk and tables, integrating the furniture elements with the architecture, and unifying the concept.

Perimeter walls are made of white stucco, giving a natural continuity to the floor of microcement. The inside of the medical office is lined with a darker textile lining bathed by wall sconces, providing an extra degree of privacy in the most private areas.
