Elegant Residential Tower with a view Limassol Beach | Orange Architects
Orange Architects’ Terra Project wins the competition for an exclusive residential tower by the beach of Limassol, Cyprus. The tower is by commissioned by Masharii & The Land. Located in the entertainment zone of Limassol, Terra Project is basically a stack of 10 luxurious apartments standing on a double-height commercial podium. The design achieves a maximum panoramic view for all the apartments, by placing one apartment per each floor plan. That is in addition to using a structural system that employs the support of a central core to the cantilevered beams and floors. That way no load-bearing elements are needed in the façade. The all-around glazed façades of the apartments can be fully opened making them into indoor/outdoor spaces. Each apartment has a small garden, a terrace, and a private pool, which are located in different positions on every floor, giving each floor its unique shape. This variety gives the tower its overall distinctive form. The spaces inside each apartment are located on different levels to maximize the height per each floor. Accordingly, every apartment has an up to 5.2m double-height space and a mezzanine. In that manner, variety is achieved on the inside as well as on the outside. The resulting gentle yet complex form of the tower blends well with its surroundings, giving a stylish landmark to Limassol’s shoreline.
