The192, right at the boundary of three of Paris’ most symbolic features – the axis of Paris, the Seine, and La Défense – Atelier Du Pont created The 192. This project uses its unique backdrop to bring it forward and emphasize its location.
According to Atelier Du Pont, The 192’s composition is classic – a base, a body, a crown – but its style is new. It uses a faceted geometry of stone and glass to capture light and reverberate with the effect of the speed and incidence of the sun and the waves of the Seine.
An interwoven public and private space in the Anglo-Saxon tradition, the building asserts its radiance and international character without changing the nature of the street, and it integrates itself gently in the spirit of Neuilly. This new construction thereby functions as an open campus that participates in the life of the surrounding neighborhood and city.
A garden and green walkway allow one to cross the block and reach the Seine with a continuity of vegetation to which all the common spaces point, such as the reception area and the shared company cafeteria.
The roofs give way to large decks and garden terraces that provide space for representation and relaxation. They unify the users and help shape the identity of the 192. The top floor is reserved to spaces and offices for upper management, as well as a panoramic restaurant at the fore of the building over the avenue Charles de Gaulle, the crowning masterpiece of this new building complex, which has a 360° view of the entire city
