Surreal Portraits | Giuseppe Mastromatteo

“Indepensense” is a set of surrealist photographs taken and manipulated by Giuseppe Mastromatteo. Mastromatteo, who is an Italian photographer and art director, born in Italy and based in New York, later he became a significant force in the advertising world as a creative director for Euro RSCG New York. In the photos above and below, Mastromatteo makes it look like the body parts of his nude subjects have been melted together. It’s almost like the human body is transparent, causing noses, ears and mouths to peek through hands, arms and hair.
