Nir Chehanowski

Reinterpreting everyday objects seems to be the motto of STUDIO CHEHA, highlighted in their latest work, the Nir Chehanowski . The latest addition to his portfolio is the 2D and 3D Bulbing Lamps. Optical illusion is the key to the product, which is controlled by the effect of making a 2D element seem like it is 3D. Acrylic glass was etched with lines of LED’s, that when they are switched on light up better than a normal lamp but with the 3D effect, which creates a serene space for the user. The new set of releases done by Nir are made more like industrial equipment but at the same time keep the signature optical illusion and 3D magic as the focal point. Light travels through the line, which creates the sense of dimensionality, as well as illuminating the lamp. The lifespan is longer than the normal florescent bulbs by more than 50,000 hours, a warmer glow, and won’t overheat like normal bulbs. The frame can also be seen in the daylight. The base is made of wood which is then carved by hand to give it more a traditional look, whereas you can buy more than one design and change them depending on the mood and keeping the environment more lively. The playful product combines man-made fibers with natural materials, and both machinery and artisan handwork. To shine and make the future brighter is what we all need, Nir has stepped up the competition for other designers and has raised the stakes to a whole new level. “BULBING lamps – Light Up Your Life – AGAIN!”By: Muhammad Umair Siddiqui
