SAG – Airport Building in Mestia | J. Mayer H. Architekten

SAG – Airport Building in Mestia, Hey what can I say? Short and sweet. The New Airport Building in Mestia, Georgia, designed by J. Mayer H. Architekten and completed construction in just three months after the unveiling of the design. Located in a town of extraordinarily notable chimneys,

the building takes on that motif and executes it in a striking black glass, providing a masterful counterpoint to the snows which the area experiences. A control tower rises fluidly from the main form, with another such offshoot creating a waiting area. Short, simple, perfect for the vitilization of a small town.
