NEW OFFICE IN THE FAROE ISLANDS

n 2012, Henning Larsen Architects won the competition for Klaksvík City Center in the Faroe Islands. This spring, two residential projects in Tórshavn and Klaksvík were added to the list of projects in the Islands, where Henning Larsen Architects is now opening an office.The 4,000 m2 residences in Klaksvík, within Henning Larsen Architects’ own master plan from 2012, will be situated around the central urban plaza. The development of the building project marks the first step in the realisation of the new city centre.The other residential project won by the office in spring covers 20 houses in the Oman Mattalag district in Tórshavn. The detailed design of the project is already moving ahead.The new office will form the basis of Henning Larsen Architects’ work in the North Atlantic.
