A new addition to the waterline square by Meier, Rafael Viñoly + KPF Design

“Together, we are transforming one of the last remaining waterfront development sites on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, into a new, vibrant neighborhood.  This design and development team has created the most innovative, comprehensive, and cohesive residential experience in New York City,” said James Linsley, President of GID Development Group.

Richard Meier and Partners Architects, Rafael Viñoly Architects, and Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates were chosen by General Investment and Development Companies (GID) to design the towers for Waterline Square. The design will be on a five-acre area on the Hudson River waterfront. The new luxurious residential complex consisting of three towers is formed of articulated facades and outdoor areas.“Waterline Square brings together three of the world’s most prominent and respected architects to create a world-class destination for residential living.” said James Linsley, President of GID Development Group. The remarkable site of the new development is between West 59th and 61st streets, and this makes it just two blocks away from BIG’s VIA 57 newly completed project. However, the new addition consists of the three towers, One Waterline Square by Richard Meier and Partners Architects, Two Waterline Square by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and Three Waterlines Square by Rafael Viñoly Architects. The more than 100,000 square feet site will accommodate 3-acre green park connected to Hudson River Greenway, and facilities including sports and leisure.

The construction has already begun in 2015 and is expected to be finished by 2018.
