As a designer by day, the Rubik’s Cube mosaic was just a “crazy idea,” not a career move. However, after spending 40 hours assembling a monumental mosaic of Martin Luther King Jr., Fecteau has gotten much attention. 4,242 Rubik’s Cubes were used to construct the half ton piece.

Alice Hellyar is an Architect and Craftsperson in the Columbia River Gorge of the Pacific Northwest, where she has practiced since 2011. Her work includes custom residential design with a focus on site specific homes. She is continually exploring the relationship between the natural world and the built world, which inspires her work.
