Through the Cinema Scope | Fredrico Babina

Archidirectors

Blending the imagination through the cinema scope, the prominent and much acclaimed Film Directors have always painted a vivid and compelling picture of their chain of thoughts, through the play of frames, the run of music and the captivating art of acting. Creating an architectural world to weave his story through.

Fredrico Babina, an Italian architect and graphic illustrator, pays tribute to the legendary “Architects of Cinema”, with his series of graphic illustrations titled “Archidirectors” transposing their eclectic cinematic identity, envisioned as houses based out of the same eclecticism.
Ironically, Architecture has always taken the “Rear View” in most of the films, which are immortalized by the artist’s remarkable performances, brilliant screenplay, visual technicalities and the strong essence of music that cements the genre. Though it accentuates the genre of the film, the meticulous details of the architecture in the background, tend to be overshadowed, even though considerable amount of time and work have been involved in developing those details right.

This series brings out the panache of the directors, to the details in architecture mixed with their eclectic cinematic style into unique Illustrations.
Myriad of remarkable directors ranging from Charles Chaplin, Alfred Hitchcock, George Lucas, Ridley Scott, Stanley Kubrick, Fredrico Fellini, David Lynch, Krzysztof Kieślowski etc. though their names have already transcended to completely a different dimension, the tryst with their “cinematic style”, has been orchestrated onto a road of architectural immortality by these series of 27 illustrations.
