Avatar: Guardians of Eywa Immersive Show Heads to Niagara Falls in 2027

Niagara Parks will host the world premiere of Avatar: Guardians of Eywa, an immersive experience that combines multimedia environments, live performance and acrobatics. The Avatar immersive show in Niagara Falls opens at Table Rock Centre on 17 May 2027, and performances will run until early September. The production draws on James Cameron’s film franchise and is licensed by Disney Theatrical Group and Lightstorm Entertainment.

Behind the show stands a team of three companies, each with a distinct role. IMMEX is developing the experience, Montreal-based EMM Williams Productions is producing it, and Moment Factory is designing it. The project has received private investment, and it also has support through the Government of Canada‘s Creative Export Canada programme, which backs Canadian cultural work sold abroad.

Visitors will move through the experience in two stages, so the layout works as a continuous walkthrough rather than a seated performance. The first stage places them in interactive rainforest and coastal reef environments, where digital installations draw on the plants and animals of Pandora, the franchise’s fictional moon. From there, the route leads into a live acrobatic show that follows the Na’vi cycle of life.

The creators describe the production as the first to combine large-scale multimedia environments and live acrobatics in a single continuous walkthrough. That claim sits alongside a touring plan, because the producers intend the show to travel to other venues internationally once its Niagara Falls run ends. The Niagara engagement therefore serves as the launch point for a wider international circuit.

Tony Haswani, president of EMM Williams Productions, framed the project as a turning point for his company. “Avatar: Guardians of Eywa is a defining moment for our company and for the future of immersive live entertainment,” he said. “We look forward to welcoming audiences into the breathtaking world of Pandora through an experience unlike anything they have seen before.”

Niagara Parks chair Graham Coveney tied the production to the setting of the falls themselves. He said the show would “showcase Niagara Falls as a place where iconic natural beauty and extraordinary experiences come together”. With the opening date set for 17 May 2027, the run at Table Rock Centre is scheduled to continue until early September.
