The Double Position Chair
The Double Position Chair ….Is it a chair or a toy? Or maybe both? Russian artist Alex Petunin has design a playful, colored piece of furniture, as a custom order for a client, that has quickly captured everybody’s attention. The chair is made from colored pieces of wood, glued together, ”dressed” in a white coat. The colored stripes chair was designed to match the concept of the other pieces of furniture in the room.
One can change the function of the chair by simply removing the front leg, which turns it into a rocking chair, and you can use it as a lounge chair by pushing it back, and let it rest on the rear leg. The chair has a smooth organic curved shape, which gives it the air of elegance, while the joyful colors makes it easy to see and fun to use. It was manufactured at ArtTech Studio, in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
