The Inspirational Furniture Design

The Inspirational Furniture Design : I try to marry the natural beauty of the wood with the skilled craftsmanship of the maker. When the two come together, a piece can really sing!” writes Greg Klassen. The very creative and skilled furniture designer created such amazing pieces of furniture. Inspired by the Pacifc Northwest, along with its trees, waterways, and landscape, Klassen grew a passion to create something that is “both beautiful and useful; something that you want to live with everyday.

” His designs of tables and desks bring life to the raw wood, highlighting the beauty of its natural forms and colours. The delicate overlapping of art and function to create his pieces of furniture deliver a great amount of aesthetics and innovation. Each piece is a unique form of interweaving wood and glass to create a visually spectacular scene of landscape with a river touch.

His “functional pieces of art” work to highlight the natural curves and paths in the wood. “No two trees are the same just as no two pieces are that I make from them.” The passion to design something absolutely beautiful and to see the possibilities and potentials in everything around him, have distinguished the designs of this Washington-based artist and furniture maker.
