Maringá House | Brasil Arquitetura

Maringá House is located in the rural area of the city of Maringá, in the interior of Paraná. Designed as the main residence of a writer, its streamlined program prioritizes social areas and leisure.

Structurally, the house consists of reinforced concrete slabs supported by reinforced concrete pillars and cyclopean concrete walls made with stones taken from the site itself. The larger slab features a garden using waterproofing techniques applied in previous projects by the office.

The intimate area and support spaces are located within the “stone boxes,” while the living room and kitchen have glass enclosures that integrate with the open balcony overlooking the landscape. Sliding wooden panels make up the facade and contribute to shading the spaces.
