The ICD/ITKE 2014 research pavilion had its opening earlier this spring in Stuttgart, Germany.
The project is a collaboration of students and Prof. Achim Menges from the ICD Institute of Computational Design, and Prof. Jan Knippers from ITKE Institute of Building Structures and Structural Design.
The structure was robotically fabricated from 35 fiber composite components, the biggest being 2.6m in diameter with a weight of 24.1kg.
