BALCONY GLAZING ON ÄUSSERE KANALSTRASSE, COLOGNE

The client and architects therefore wanted a glazed balcony solution that should offer optimal sound insulation as well as weather and sun protection. Solarlux developed the complete concept for this construction project: balustrade, glazing and sun protection. The result of the planning is flexible double protection from movable balcony glazing and sliding slats, which insulate the sound of street noise by 21 dB and individually regulate the solar radiation. The “SL 45 Modular” balcony system was installed, in which the parapet and guide elements are installed in a modular design. The non-insulated slide and turn system SL 25 was used for the balcony glazing, which can be opened completely.
