National Tourist Route Trollstigen, composed as a series of functional follies, the National Tourist Route Trollstigen overlooking the Geiranger Fjord in Romsdalen, Norway, designed by Reiulf Ramstad Architects, is a thoughtful composition of manmade structures amidst the natural surroundings which they seek to present.

The choreography is precision-planned to frame certain views and bring visitors closer to environs which would be otherwise unaccessible or at the least, very dangerous to access unaided.

Featuring several lookout positions over both rushing white waters and majestic views between mountain ranges, the project gives forum to the voice of these magnificent natural features, broadcasting rather than merely encouraging the act of listening.
