Light painter Patrick Rochon recently collaborated with a team of wakeboarders to transform the dark night sky. As part of the Red Bull Illume photography competition, also publicized as “the world’s premier international photography competition dedicated to the world of action and adventure sports,” Rochon and Snap! Orlando partnered up to capture this glowing rainbow of color.
Special wakeboards were mounted with LED’s so that every movement could help the photos come to life. With a focus on art, creativity and beauty, the photos are shot from shore as the riders playfully ride and perform tricks.
Alice Hellyar is an Architect and Craftsperson in the Columbia River Gorge of the Pacific Northwest, where she has practiced since 2011. Her work includes custom residential design with a focus on site specific homes. She is continually exploring the relationship between the natural world and the built world, which inspires her work. Alice is licensed in Oregon and Washington and is an AIA member. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech.
