Spiral, the assignment was given to BIG and his team by Tishman Speyer to create a tower at 66 Hudson Boulevard in New York City – The Spiral And what BIG did was to create a connection between the highline and the sky, named after its spiral shaped form. It’s like getting Babylon to New York City, ziggurat shaped tower with hanging gardens for each floor from the street to the end of the tower, creating an extension of a daily office life to the outdoor.

This sustainable tower’s hanging gardens, connected to double height atriums with a very special view to the skyline of New York that moves along the tower and creates peaceful but challenging working space with improving normal working qualities of the employees as an alternative circulation for the users.

The tower is about 1005 foot tall covering an area of 2.85 million square-foot developing class A office space, 27,000 square-feet of retail spaces provided with a spacious entrance space facing Hudson Boulevard East and a satisfying seventh-floor terrace.
