Steve Cutts is an illustrator currently based in London, he is one of the very few who thinks that many things in the world should be different. Cutts, who studied sculpture in art school, shifted to illustration to make a living. While working at an East London ad agency, he started teaching himself Flash and After Effects, and posting his finished pieces online. He makes videos and images that criticize modern life – he states that insanity of humanity is an endless pool of inspiration. His work is fascinating, thought-provoking and usually lends an important message.
In an interview with The Huffington Post, Steven describes his illustration work as the “unquestionable insanity” that infiltrates the systems governing our daily lives. “We live in a world where it’s extremely hard to compete in our market ethically, and producing something without exploitation of people or environment seems impossible,” he noted. “So people compromise on values and rationalize it somehow, because otherwise you have to break with society.”
