The Kinema Pendant Luminaire | Fingerhut

The Kinema Pendant Luminaire  Stuart Fingerhut

The Kinema Pendant Luminaire, created by American designer Stuart Fingerhut is truly a personal lighting fixture. Its multitude of metallic layers can be adjusted open or closed or in-between or just so or… Ad infinitum. These infinite adjustments make possible as many types and conditions of light for the lamp to throw off. Mr. Fingerhut sites the movement of crustaceans as inspiration for the flowing, ringed form. If one looks closely enough, one can indeed picture the Kinema Pendant walking/ flowing over coral like so many shrimp. At 10” x 12” x 14” however, it would make a rather large shrimp.
