T-Boutique

Displaying products of the tea connoisseur Dilmah, this interior tea boutique aims to create the cosy and compact nature of an afternoon tea session. The original plan is angular plan and placed in the functionalist passage Broadway.

The thus hard interior of the building is softened by introduction of curves through a wooden slat structure of artfully arranged individual slats. Each of the slat is oriented towards a pr-existing skylight and is made of Multiplex, thickness 21mm, birch veneer, “BB” quality.

Complimenting this finish is are two MDF desks in following basic angular geometry. The contrast is provided by placing the structure and furniture against a background of a floor system of squeegee-grade microtopping in anthracite color . Hence achieving a complete reversal of traditional texture all the while retaining the intended ambiance.
