SZU Pavilion | HKPDA and Shenzhen University

Through a semester long collaboration between HKPDA and Shezhen University the SZU pavilion was transformed from computer generated geometry to reality.

Students used the kangaroo plugin for Grasshopper to investigate the forces effecting the triangular geometry’s tension and compression. The pavilion had to be planned in a manner that was feasible, site-specific and achievable using available resources and within a specific timeline.
