“Swing Time” illuminates Boston park | Höweler + Yoon Architecture

Twenty illuminated ring-shaped swings designed by Höweler + Yoon Architecture; the three different sized swings are made from welded polypropylene.

Micro-controllers signal the LED lighting levels and their glowing effect changes from white to purple; internal monitors detect the movement and change the color depending on the motion force, when they are not moving and still it glows soft white color and when the movement increase the color changes to purple.The installations invite all the users to play, relax, exercise and enjoy their time interacting together or individually.
