Sushi Towels | Jenny Pokryvailo

Industrial designer Jenny Pokryvailo has created these zany ‘Sushi Towels’. The designer must have a good sense of humour to have people around the world roll their towels into different kinds of maki- Tuna, Salmon , Crab and Tomago. In the bargain you also get to learn how to roll a maki. The towels, designed to be used in kitchens, are woven with the aesthetic patterns of the ingredients of maki. So as you roll them properly, you can create a regular as well as an inside out maki.

In her graphic explanation, Pokryvailo also lists the ingredients that each pattern represents. These have been designed for OTOTO. Through her offbeat design, Jenny Pokryvailo not only creates amusement, but also pushes you to turn boring everyday chores into interesting activities. The products are attractive, quirky and stylish functional objects. Other designs created by her include the Nessie Ladle, Sardine Paper Clips, Pistachio and Rainbow Marker Set.
