Skylodge Adventure Suites | Natura Vive

Skylodge Adventure Suites by Natura Vive: It’s hard to imagine something more beautiful than a night spent under a sky full of stars, on the top of a mountain. The Peru based Natura Vive is offering the chance to experience this to the inexperienced who have never been hiking or climbing mountains, and it’s not in their plans for the future to train for this endeavour. The Skylodge Adventure Suites is a group of three suspended glass cabins, located above Peru’s Sacred Valley.  To get to enjoy the view from above, you will have to embark on a somewhat long journey. In order to get to the transparent skylodge adventure suites you will have to climb 400 feet of vertical steel stairs.

Story by Natura Vive

It could be challenging if you are not used to physical effort, but the panoramic view is worth it. Each of the modules is 24 feet long, and 8 feet high and width, and can accommodate four people. Inside a skylodge you can also find a dining area and a small bathroom. To ensure comfort, the cabins have six windows and ventilation installations. The structure is aluminum based, with polycarbonate windows, and at night there is interior lighting, provided with energy from solar panels.

Steel cables are used to anchor the modules to the rock, and to ensure stability. Although it is a nice initiative to try and bring people closer to the nature, and to offer them incredible views of a spectacular place, the long time mountain climber will dispute the necessity and even the logic of such an establishment. After all, what could be more beautiful than a night spent under a sky full of stars, on a top of a mountain, inside a tent or a sleeping bag?
