RIBA Announces 50 Winning Projects of 2017 London Regional Award

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has announced the 50 winning projects of the 2017 London Regional Awards. The awarded projects include buildings designed by Allied and Morrison, Herzog & de Meuron, Grimshaw Architects, David Chipperfield, and Zaha Hadid Architects. The winners will, also, get to compete for the RIBA Stirling Prize, which is the most highly regarded architecture award in the UK.

“The year has demonstrated once again the breadth of the capital’s architectural output at the very high level that the RIBA program requires, and the juries took enormous pleasure in selecting a most exemplary set of schemes,” said Jury chair Matthew Lloyd.

The 50 winning projects have been selected from a shortlist of 85 projects which were announced last April. The shortlisted projects were chosen from a total of 215 entries, and they were all inspected by one of five London juries.
