Preserving Azerbaijan

Between the each of the coordinates of Caucasia is Azerbaijan, which is one of the oldest cultural sites in the world. The awareness of the historic location is a cultural bridge between the coasts of the continent and inspired polices to protect the region of the countries rich natural resources.

The theme of the project is to protect the organic food and biodiversity for future generations. This theme follows the criteria of Expo Milano. The structure that is a simple and modern architecture style that is achieved through materials like wood and stone.

The elevations of the pavilion are constructed using highly flexible wood over the area of 887 square meters. The pavilion has three different biospheres. The first is for geographical landscapes, the second is the nine geographical climate zones of Azerbaijan, and the third is for culture and innovation. The three levels of the structure separate the biospheres.
