Perceiving the Flow by Gil Bruvel
French artist Gil Bruvel creates striking, evocative sculptures cast from stainless steel. As the son of a cabinetmaker and apprentice in an art restoration workshop, Bruvel was ultimately able to combine these creative sources with a fine eye for designs and patterns in the natural world.
In his current Flow series, Bruvel seems to permeate the veil of material form by honoring the imaginative and the real. Graceful ribbons of cast stainless steel communicate complex human sentiments.
