OMA Appointed as Masterplanner and Lead Architect for Morden Wharf on London’s Greenwich Peninsula

OMA has been appointed by Cathedral Group and Development Securities as masterplanner and lead architect of the 19 acre Morden Wharf site on London’s Greenwich Peninsula. Located in the vicinity of the O2 Arena with 500 meters of waterfront along the Thames River, Morden Wharf is an important part of the Royal Borough of Greenwich’s Peninsula West Masterplan, which outlines the Council’s intention to transform the Peninsula into a major entertainment zone by focusing development and regeneration around multi-purpose sports, entertainment and educational facilities. OMA’s vision for Morden Wharf adds value to an already impressive site through regeneration of existing buildings and infrastructure which attract visitors and residents to the sites cultural, residential, leisure, and commercial offerings.
