A young designer with roots from Cypriot, and with a Degree in Model making paired up with endless imagination, Stelios Mousarris came to prove to us one more time that “Imagination is more than knowledge….” Inspired by the movie “Inception” in 2010, Mousarris took the idea of manipulation and control and designed this Wave City Coffee Table: a table built from a city that defies the laws of gravity and any reasoning. The result? This awe-inspiring table that will blow your mind the same way the movie blew his. Just shake your imagination, use some wood, steel, and 3D printing technology and there is a unique model of interior design: a simple model of your interior that contains a realistic urban landscape with meticulously carved skyscrapers and other buildings. The table bends a landscape of buildings in half, using the overlapping surface as the tabletop. This is not only a new approach of creating a simple table or other interior items but also provides a new challenging perspective of almost everything: is an urban landscape and a city simply a place to live? can it also be part of your interior? The table of Stelios Mousarris is a very good demonstration of out of box thinking, which provokes imaginations and the desire to create something challenging and extraordinary.
