Tasting Table reports that Dolce & Gabbana has teamed up with Italian kitchen wares company Smeg to produce a line of kitchen appliances that double as art. Think about all of your current kitchen appliances — the small stuff that’s not small enough to fit into the cabinets or the lazy susan. Think mixers, toasters, coffee machines, kettles, blenders, and juicers. Each product pays homage to Southern Italy and features designs inspired by Sicilian folklore. Symbolic motifs include Mount Etna, ornamental friezes, decorative acanthus leaves, lemons, prickly pears, and bright red cherries. They are all beautifully designed so that your kitchen appears to be a work of art in itself!
