Look out London, look out Barcelona, there’s a new tower soon to be on the scene. The Namaste Tower planned for Mumbai, India is to be the newest addition to the W Hotel brand. Featuring two opposing sides, reminiscent of wings or sails, the 984 foot tower designed by Atkins Design Studio is meant to evoke the image of two palms held together in the traditional yoga pose which is its namesake.
Due to open in June of 2015, it is hoped that the new tower will become a landmark for Mumbai- a postcard moment, if you will.
Featuring a striking awning the extends out, marking the entrance and where the tower meets the ground, the hotel/office/retail spaces above and throughout are introduced by way of a striking quadruple height atrium space.
Located within this space are the planned Sky Restaurant and Bar, as well as brilliant views out to the surrounding city.
