Studio “Barbara Vos”, a Dutch Studio, designed the “Meermanno Booklight”. A light that was presented during Milan Design Week 2012 and it is made out of old books from Museum Meermanno in The Hague. A part of the profit went to the museum to support them.
Meermanno Booklights are made out of old books which were not sold in the museum shop. Now the books are sold in the shop in their new appearance, as a light. The pages of the old books are wrinkled and crunched, light is added to give a warm effect.
