Simple and strangely elegant, The Margarita Chair, designed by Vanja Bazdulj is a chair of two parts. So simple. Only 11 pieces of rubber impregnated wool are folded over each other and bound together with a strand of rope. Who would have thought that with any old piece of rug, what is really there is not trash, but a potential chair? Part of the designer’s Rough & Ready collection, she describes the collection as, an experimental furniture morphology inspired by exploring potentials of the imperfect, human, unpredictable and the unfinished “finish” look aesthetics. Drawing from techniques of art, it explores the intuitive material application and mixing mediums as natural patina formations.
