Lucas Idiom: Design X Saber, George Lucas is known to have this audacious idea that captivates human imagination in infinitesimal ways possible. The Star Wars franchise has brought about a craving for the want of more, and every movie has left people in a cliffhanger. Be it Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader, Han Solo or Chewbacca, Master Yoda or Obi-Wan Kenobi, there are particular elements that keep the people hooked to the entirety.

Lightsabers, Stormtroopers, Death Star, Darth Vader etc. have all been immortalized in body and soul through the contemporary design and mass manufacture. Lego have for the past 2 decades have taken to developing gigantic buildable mass models of Death Star and millennium falcon primarily and other fighters. San Francisco based design firm, Y Studio founded by Wai Loong Lim rising to the escalating demands of escapism from the cynical world.

With the new film just peeking round the corner, the much celebrated element of the franchise the Lightsaber, a gateway into the surreal world is being developed by the Y Studios. Inspired by the like of Zaha Hadid, Ray and Charles Eames, Issey Miyake, Edith Heath and Dieter Rams with the combination of anthropometry, ergonomics and aesthetics of design making every owner feel like a Jedi.
