Infinite Renew at espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo Mariko Mori

The great Japanese artist Mariko Mori designed eight sculptures defining the space of espace louis Vuitton. They are spiral shapes that hold a metaphor giving a poetic explanation for the infinite circulation of life and death. They present some parts of his personal experience too. The structure and form of the spirals engage with the space acting as vertical translators from the ceiling to the ground.

Another feature is added to the shape which is the LED lights. They come in many colors including blues, purples and cyan. The colors change based on sensible monitors depending on the movement of people nearby. These spirals interact with the space and the people.

The three pieces are ‘purely based on my imagination‘ mariko mori explains, ‘how I picture energy flowing’. They also engage with the entrances but in an invisible way. The spiral strips create a sense of illusion taking the mind in a journey where the end could be just the start. An interactive beautiful sculpture.
