Hybrid Furniture

You know, I am about to move into a new apartment and have been thinking on how I will make my blank walls into something interesting. And it is interesting to see the many different ways which people, primarily designers, continue to reinterpret what the everyday is. I mean why do shelves and other set-pieces have to be solid elements? Do we have to use MDF or plywood to make the things we want? No.

This series by designer Kata Monus, titled ‘Hybrid Furniture‘ is certainly that. There are solid elements- but they are cut with flexible moments created in string. The set-piece is no longer ‘set’. It is versatile, it is interesting.
