Expectation-Augmented Reality , Google Glass reveal their Second generation of the product – a revamp of the first model mainly with its newly-designed mono ear bud replaces the bone-conduction speaker from First generation prototype and this mono ear bud is detachable allowing flexibility of usage. The new glass is meant for people who would be promising explorers and further enhance the product’s concept by giving Google more feedback the better explorers they become. The device is currently set at a $ 1, 500 price and mainstream consumers will be able to purchase the futuristic device in 2014.

What is so futuristic and simplistic in Google glass’s function is that it takes away most of the hands-on activities one would normally do, and it also eliminates the need for a number of devices needed for different kinds of occasions. The Glass can simply take a picture with your command, it can live-record what one sees at the particular moment hands-free, and can also function as a real-live and real-time GPS navigation system.

In terms of communication, it records voice and converts it into a text message later to be sent; in addition to that it translates one’s voice into another language and also ‘googles’ whatever information one asks for. All with the use of the explorer’s voice command.

It’s design is set to be evolutionary – the technology of Google is fit in a computer supported lightweight and strong frame. It has all of the essentials needed: Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, a camera and a microphone, a touchpad and a gyroscope to detect head tilting. Last but not least, not only does it communicate with Android, but is also compatible with Apple iPhone mobiles.

Google Glass has been working on its fashion makeover and is seemingly working with the hipster company Warby Parker in order to achieve the sleek and most elegant glass design that would make people want to wear it.
